Training and Credentials

  • All ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Campus Police personnel are required to be successful graduates of a Rhode Island Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified police academy prior to hiring.
  • All ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Campus Police have served with municipal or state police agencies prior to being employed by the college.
  • Most ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Campus Police have served previously in Supervisory, Investigative or Administrative capacities.
  • Unlike the remaining state institutions, ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ does not maintain a support staff of non-sworn personnel—with exception of the Data Management Coordinator, Clery Act Compliance
