Dr. Cheryl A. Metrey and Dr. George Metrey Scholarship | Applicants must be first-year graduate students with a minimum overall GPA of 3.5. Applicants must also qualify for financial need and display evidence of having had a successful social work practice. Preference will be given to a graduate of 榴莲视频's Bachelor of Social Work program. |
Eunice O. Shatz Scholarship for the School of Social Work | Applicants must be single mothers entering their concentration year. They must also demonstrate strong academic performance and be aware of and have interest in social policy and its effect on the lives of clients. Applicants are required to have a field placement in a setting that involves opportunities to engage in policy work and development. |
Feinstein Institute Philanthropic Leadership Scholarship | This fund supports tuition for the 16-credit certificate program in nonprofit studies. For more information about this scholarship, visit the nonprofit studies program. |
Gladys Corvera-Baker Endowment for the School of Social Work | Applicants must be full-time undergraduate seniors of Hispanic/Latin American descent, majoring in social work. Applicants must also qualify for financial need and be in good academic standing. |
Ida Maiello Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund for Women | Applicants must be female, a Rhode Island resident of Italian descent and an undergraduate majoring in social work, sociology or psychology or working toward a certificate in gerontology. Applicants must also qualify for financial need. |
J. Thomas Tobin and Ronald K. Nelson '67 Endowed Scholarship | Applicants must be full-time students majoring in education, social work or clinical dependency/addiction studies. Applicants must also qualify for financial need. Preference will be given to either a traditional-aged student whose parents are deceased, a gay/lesbian or transgender student, or student who originates from foster care, state care or adoption. |
Juanita Handy Scholarship | Applicants must be full-time second-year graduate students majoring in social work, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.4. Applicants must also be in high academic standing and demonstrate involvement in the major's activities. Preference will be given to either a female, a minority or a female minority applicant. |
Mary Davey Scholarship | Applicants must be full-time second-year graduate students majoring in social work. Applicants must also demonstrate high scholastic achievement and an interest in the field of child welfare. |
Nancy Gewirtz Memorial Scholarship | Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students majoring in social work. |
Selma and Arthur Newman Fund | Applicants must be graduate students majoring in social work. Applicants must be RI residents. Preference will be given to Pawtucket, RI residents |
Sue E. Sams Memorial Scholarship | Applicants must be full-time or part-time graduate-level students majoring in social work or counseling. Applicants must also demonstrate the qualities necessary to succeed, prior academic success and outstanding professional achievements. Preference will be given to an applicant working in this field who is a Rhode Island resident. |
