Don St. Jean has taken on the role of Director of Choral Ensembles, and Coordinator of Voice in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance.  

Don is a native Rhode Islander, who received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from URI, a Master’s in Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory, and a Doctorate in Music Education from Boston University.  

Don recently taught at Salve Regina University, where he also directed the chorus and coordinated applied music lessons.  Additionally, he served as Class Dean, taught freshman honors writing, and headed up the music education program.  Don's student-centered approach to teaching led to his becoming a three-time recipient of the Freshman Advocacy Award.  

In addition to teaching, Don interests include hiking, gardening, and historic preservation.
